The Yemeni Civil War has raged for years creating a humanitarian crisis that has displaced 2 million people. Each Yemeni coffee purchase helps Yemeni men and women earn a living wage to provide for their families.
Yemeni coffee has a long-storied past in the world. Specialty coffee from Yemen is both elusive and exquisite. Al-Ezzi Industries is a development and export company based in Haraaz, Yemen, and founded by Shabbir A. Ezzi, an entrepreneur who focuses on both the quality of coffee and the quality of life for its producers. Al-Ezzi works with smallholder producers in the Haraaz mountains, offering them considerably higher than local market prices for their coffee, and providing traceability and transparency for pricing.
Each pound of beans, each cup of coffee allows Yemeni families to remake home after the atrocities of war.
